Q&A – October 2024
How did you get into golf?My grandfather taught me how to golf at the age of 6 through East Aurora Country Club. I never enjoyed contact sports so I decided to try it and see if it was a good fit for me.
When did you discover your passion for teaching? This is actually a funny story…. I started volunteering at the age of 11. The coach I was with had a full time job besides the class we were teaching and ended up leaving early. She left me with sixteen 5-6 year olds. I ended up running the rest of the class safely, teaching the kids something new about golf, and all of them had fun. Since then every week they asked to come back and if I was teaching. That’s when I realized I might have a talent for helping kids. The fact that I could brighten these kids days just by teaching them golf made me realize how much of an impact this game can have on their lives.
What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning? The main thing that motivates me is my passion for my work. Nothing brings a smile to my face more than seeing young girls happy and comfortable in my golf lessons. I want to be an empowering mentor that shows girls/women/individuals that “greatness is achievable” for everyone.
Favorite Drink?Starbucks coffee
Favorite Course?East Aurora Country Club or Crag Burn
What’s in the bag?
VERO X1 Golf balls, Hydrojug water bottle, dior lotion & perfume, pink tees, fingerless gloves, lululemon sweatshirt, and super goop sunscreen.

Goals for the future? To open my own facility to anyone that wants to learn the game of golf and to finally bridge the gap in my community. My goal is to bring inner city girls and girls that are already afforded these opportunities together through golf to hopefully have the same impact that it did on me.
