COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 2025 season for Notre Dame women’s tennis came to a close Saturday evening, as the Irish fell in the Second Round of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship to fourth-seeded Ohio State 4-1. Notre Dame ends the season with a 21-6 overall record.
During the 2025 season, the Irish totaled the most wins under head coach Alison Silverio (21) and the most ACC wins (9) since joining the conference back in 2013. The 21 wins are the most since the 2012 spring season.
For the second-straight day, the Irish secured the doubles point. After falling at No.1 doubles, Bojana Pozder/Bianca Molnar secured a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles to push it to a winner-take-all situation at No. 2 doubles.
That’s when the duo of Nibi Ghosh/Rylie Hanford took down 75th ranked Nao Nishino/Audrey Spencer 6-3 to put the Irish up 1-0 after the first action of the Second Round.
With a lineup featuring five players ranked in the top 116 in the ITA singles rankings, Ohio State relied on their strength from all season, earning four singles wins in straight sets to advance to the Third Round.
