Chris Williamson, an Emmy award nominee, criticized Charleston White for his controversial remarks on Brittney Griner and Angel Reese during an episode of the “Club 520 Podcast” on Dec. 24. The panel’s opinions on WNBA and its players, including White’s comments, have sparked significant backlash. Williamson called out Charleston for his disrespectful remarks on Griner and Reese.
“And it wasn’t just the blatant disrespect for Angel either. We peeped that trifling crap they said about Brittney Griner too. Talmbout, ‘Yeah, I wished her a*s stayed in that Russian jail’ cuz of that pool pic. Whole bunch of pathetic excuses for men,” Williamson posted.
Charleston had jokingly suggested that Griner should have stayed in the Russian prison after a discussion about Griner’s pool party incident. Last year, Griner was imprisoned in Russia and had to be released through a prisoner swap by the US government. Charleston also made inappropriate comments about Angel Reese, suggesting she should start an OnlyFans account.
“I still think she (Angel Reese) needs to do OnlyF*ns like Shaq said. She dunking up p**ties.”
Sydney Colson Criticizes Charleston White for Sexist Remark
Sydney Colson joined others in calling out Charleston White for his statements on Angel Reese. Colson reposted a clip of White’s comments and criticized him for his remarks in her caption.
“Havin an ignorant a*s sexist on and then actually dropping the episode and then wanting to collab with the W is craaazy work lmao,” Colson captioned.
White’s comments were in response to an incident involving Shaquille O’Neal and Angel Reese on the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, where Shaq made inappropriate suggestions to Reese during a segment of the show.
