Tempe, AZ – The fourth week of play is complete across the 2024 ITA Summer Points Race Series powered by WTN and the ITA Summer Masters Series powered by WTN. With eight ITA Summer Points Race Series tournaments and one ITA Summer Masters Series tournament, individuals from around the country continued to perform at a high level, yielding impressive results for the fourth straight week of play.

During week four, $8,000 in prize money was handed out to competitors, while eight more players (four men and four women) earned their spots into the ITA National Summer Championships powered by WTN with their finishes in the ITA Summer Masters Series.

Beginning with the ITA Summer Masters Series, Wake Forest welcomed players to their campus, hosting players with a minimum WTN of 13.0 (M) and 17.0 (W). Featuring only singles play, these athletes were playing for $3,000 in total prize money as well as for a qualifying spot in the ITA National Summer Championships where $20,000 in total prize money awaits.

Those victorious this past weekend in Winston-Salem were Andrew Delgado (Wake Forest commit) and Eleana Yu (Duke). Delago is a blue chip recruit according to Tennis Recruiting Network and will be an incoming freshman at Wake Forest in the fall. Yu, the former No. 1 ranked recruit nationally, joins the Blue Devils this year following a rookie campaign at Stanford. As a freshman at Stanford, Yu went 13-2 in singles, including a 6-0 record in dual match action.

The remaining ITA National Summer Championship qualifiers for the men include Douglas Yaffa (Virginia), Chase Robinson (Liberty), and Tyler Bowers (Illinois), while for the women, Alejandra Cruz (Georgia Tech), Kaitlyn Carnicella (South Carolina), and Ellie Pittman (Texas A&M) all qualified this past weekend.

Across the ITA Summer Points Race Series, over 750 players competed across all tournaments in week four as players continue to climb up the ITA Summer Points Race Standings, looking to claim their spots into the ITA National Summer Championships.

Players coming out victorious include Joel Kielbowicz (UNLV), Ashton Adesoro (Western Michigan), Colson Wells (Nebraska), Jacks Lancaster (Ball State), Marko Miladinovic (Baylor), Cooper Han, Cameron Zia, and Ashley Watling for the men. On the women’s side, it was Maxine Murphy (Washington State), Pei Chi Ho, Sari Woo, Meredith Taylor (Samford), Sophie Llewellyn (LSU), Eileen Wang (Penn), Maeve Thornton (Furman), and Yu-Yun Tsai who were victorious in week four.
