UFC middleweight Caio Borralho has said that it’s comeback season time for the Fighting Nerds as he prepares for his return to the cage.

In the co-main event of UFC 326 this weekend, Caio Borralho is set to go head to head with Reinier de Ridder. Both men are hoping to rebuild some lost momentum at 185 pounds, with the ultimate goal being to kick on and challenge for the UFC middleweight championship. Of course, it goes without saying that this won’t be easy for either of them.

Caio Borralho’s Fighting Nerds team have been faced with a few defeats in recent times, leading many to wonder whether or not they are truly capable of kicking on and becoming world champions at the elite level. If they want to prove their doubters wrong, they simply need to get in there and show how they have been able to learn and grow from their past mistakes.

In a recent interview, Caio Borralho had the following to say about the next step in their journey.

Caio Borralho looks for comeback season for Fighting Nerds

“It’s the comeback season and no one’s going to stop that. We got back with our team, we got the connection back, we put our feet on the ground a little bit more, and you guys are seeing the results. I’m proud of the guys, happy for them, and I was the first one to get into the UFC, and I’ll be the last one to complete the comeback season.”

“Everything. It played a factor in everything in my life: being a fighter, being a human being, being a dad, being a husband, being a son. I just learned how to be more present in all these aspects of my life. Sometimes I feel like fighters see themselves just as fighters, and fighter is just one face of myself. I have a lot of other ones and I get to know them a little bit more, accept them a little bit more, and I feel better than ever.”

Who knows, maybe this weekend will mark the start of something special for Caio.
