Indiana recently updated its 2024-25 men’s basketball roster with several updated weights showing off-season gains. One player is now listed one inch taller and walk-ons have been officially added.

Player-by-player, here are all of the changes:

• Jakai Newton: The Covington, Georgia native is now listed at 210 pounds. He was listed at 203 pounds on last season’s roster. The redshirt freshman is wearing jersey No. 0, worn by Xavier Johnson last season. Last season, Newton was No. 12.

• Myles Rice: The Washington State transfer is now listed at 185 pounds. Last season, the All-Pac 12 guard was listed at 180 pounds on the Washington State roster. The redshirt sophomore is wearing jersey No. 1, worn by Kel’el Ware last season. Rice wore No. 2 at Washington State.

• Gabe Cupps: The sophomore point guard is now listed at 180 pounds. He was listed at 175 pounds on last season’s roster. Cupps will again wear No. 2.

• Anthony Leal: There were no changes to Leal’s measurements on the roster. He remains listed at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds. The fifth-year guard will continue to wear jersey No. 3.

• Malik Reneau: The junior forward is down one pound to 232 pounds on the updated roster. Reneau will again wear jersey No. 5.

• Bryson Tucker: Tucker put on 15 pounds in the offseason. He arrived on campus at 192 and is listed at 6-foot-7 and 207 pounds on the updated roster. Tucker will wear No. 8 this season.

• Kanaan Carlyle: The Atlanta, Georgia native is now listed at 182 pounds. As a freshman last season at Stanford, Carlyle was listed at 185 pounds. He will wear jersey No. 9. Last season at Stanford, Carlyle wore jersey No. 3.

• Luke Goode: The Illinois transfer is listed at 203 pounds. The Illinois roster last season listed Goode at 205 pounds. Goode will wear No. 10, which was also his number for the Fighting Illini.

• Oumar Ballo: The Arizona transfer is listed at 265 pounds, which is up five pounds from last season at Arizona. Ballo will wear No. 11, which he also wore for the Wildcats.

• Mackenzie Mgbako: Mgbako is the only player listed at a different height from last season. Mgbako was listed at 6-foot-8 last season but is now 6-foot-9, according to IU’s roster updates. His weight has increased from 217 last season to 222 this season. Mgbako will continue to wear jersey No. 21.

• Trey Galloway: Like Leal, there were no changes to Galloway’s measurements on the roster. He remains listed at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds. He will continue to wear jersey No. 32.

• Dallas James: The 7-footer was listed at 200 pounds on the South Carolina State roster last season. Indiana lists him at 245 pounds. James will wear No. 42, the same number he wore at South Carolina State.

Indiana has six walk-ons on the 2024-25 roster. Shaan Burke, Jordan Rayford, James Goodis, Jackson Creel and Ian Stephens all return.

The new walk-on is Jaden Bobbett, a 6-foot-2 senior who previously played at Middlebury, a Division III program in Vermont.
