Car enthusiasts can rejoice as the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia will be hosting the 7th Annual Philadelphia Concours on Sunday, June 23, 2024. This event, in partnership with the Delaware Valley Jaguar Club, will benefit Cool Cars for Kids and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
This year, the spotlight will be on Jaguar, a renowned British luxury car brand that was established in 1922. Known for its performance, design, and success in sports-car racing, Jaguar will take center stage at the Concours d’Elegance, showcasing significant cars of all years and makes. Judged by experts, these cars will compete for class awards and the prestigious Best in Show title.
The excitement doesn’t end there. The Saturday night gala at the Museum on June 22 will feature silent and live auctions with collectible Jaguar memorabilia and other exciting items like Philadelphia Eagles game tickets, jewelry, dining packages, and more.
On the event day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., families can enjoy a variety of activities both inside the Museum and on the grounds.
Explore Classic Cars Inside
The Concours d’Elegance within the Museum will showcase a selection of classic and vintage American and European cars in a 10-class field. Experts will judge these cars for Best in Class awards and the ultimate Best in Show trophy.
Jaguar Showcase Outside
Outside the Museum, the Jaguar Field of Honour will display unique Jaguars for judging by certified Jaguar Clubs of North America members. Awards will be given for First Honours, Second Honours, and Third Honours.
Attend Panel Discussions
Race-car driver Chip Robinson, former Jaguar N.A. president Michael Dale, and Jaguar collector/restorer Dean Cusano will lead a panel discussion on Jaguar’s history in racing and the market. The discussion will also feature videos from prominent figures in the industry.
Engage in Youth Activities
Young enthusiasts can participate in Hagerty’s Youth Judging Program, which aims to introduce classics to children aged 8 to 14 in a fun and engaging manner.
Meet Author JK Kelly
Author JK Kelly will be available for a book signing during the event. Fans can get copies of his thrilling books and meet the author in person.
Showcase Your Own Car
