After adding Mike Tyson to his list of opponents, Jake Paul seems ready for a bigger challenge.
Whether you love him or hate him, ‘The Problem Child’ knows how to promote himself and put on a show. While his fight with Tyson in November didn’t meet expectations, he still headlined a major combat sports event.
Despite a lackluster performance, Jake Paul has continued to provoke Canelo Alvarez with his words.
This week, Paul renewed his one-sided feud with Alvarez, hoping to set up a potential fight.
Even though Alvarez has shown disinterest, Jake Paul used his post-Tyson win moment to express his interest in fighting the boxing champion once again.
“Everyone says I should fight a pro, someone my age,” Paul remarked. “So if I were to face Canelo, wouldn’t that be the ultimate challenge that everyone wants to see me face?”
“People will never be satisfied until I lose, so facing Canelo might be the best way to prove myself.”
“Who better to challenge me than one of the best in the sport?”

“He’s a legend, a pound-for-pound great, possibly the best in the sport.”
“What excuses can the audience or Canelo make if I face him?”
In reflecting on his fight with Mike Tyson, Jake Paul acknowledges he must improve to have a chance against Canelo Alvarez.
“Could tonight’s Jake beat Canelo? Not tonight. Plus, I injured my ankle badly.”
“I also learned that I’m not a heavyweight. I’m a 200-pounder.”
