Jonathan Kuminga expressed his belief that his optimal position is as a small forward, but he is also willing to play power forward if needed.
“Ultimately, I know I excel as a small forward. I have the skills and abilities to perform at the highest level in that position,” Kuminga stated.
“However, moving forward, my role is dependent on the team’s needs. Whether it’s small forward or any other position, I am prepared,” Kuminga noted on Friday.
Steve Kerr, who views Kuminga as a power forward, is currently deliberating between starting Kuminga alongside Draymond Green as a small-ball center or pairing Green with a traditional center at power forward.
Kuminga also mentioned that he has been working on improving his shooting during the offseason.
“I am focused on enhancing my catch-and-shoot percentage. This will benefit the team by creating more spacing on the floor,” Kuminga emphasized.
