Police in Canada are conducting a criminal investigation into the betting scandal involving former Toronto Raptors center Jontay Porter, who was banned from the NBA. This was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Ontario Provincial Police on Wednesday. The OPP’s Investigation and Enforcement Bureau decided to launch the investigation after looking into betting irregularities related to Raptors games. According to Robert Simpson, the OPP spokesman, the investigation will focus on Raptors games that took place in Toronto on Jan. 26, 2024, and March 20, 2024.
