Former NBA player Junior Bridgeman is said to be purchasing a 10% stake in the Milwaukee Bucks. He is receiving a 15% “preferred limited partner” discount. Despite this discount, the Bucks are being valued at $4 billion in the overall transaction.
Bridgeman spent the first nine seasons of his career with Milwaukee, from 1975 to 1984. After a brief period with the LA Clippers, he returned to the Bucks for one final season before retiring in 1987.
Since his NBA career, Bridgeman has amassed a reported net worth exceeding $600 million. He now owns Ebony and Jet magazine, as well as various other businesses such as fast food franchises, soft drink bottling, and aluminum production.
