Kamilla Cardoso, center for the Chicago Sky, has been sharing updates on her offseason activities in Shanghai, China. After the WNBA season concluded last August, Cardoso signed with the Shanghai Swordfish of the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association, staying busy during the offseason.
Cardoso recently posted on social media about her experiences in China, showcasing photos of herself at famous Shanghai landmarks, bonding with Chinese friends, and snapshots from her games in the top women’s basketball league in the country.
“china dump 🤪,” she wrote.
Despite being a rookie in the 2024 season with the Sky, Cardoso has quickly adapted to the international style of play and has been dominant in China, averaging a double-double with 20.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
Teammates Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso, who had a contentious college rivalry, have buried the hatchet before the WNBA season. Reese apologized for an incident where she accidentally pulled Cardoso’s wig during a game, and they have since become vital players for the Sky.
