Kate Martin’s Ex-Girlfriend Appears To Be Dating Different Athlete

Kate Martin previously dated Claire Gransee.

Martin and Gransee, who both attended the University of Iowa, went public with their relationship during the 2024 WNBA season. Martin had left some public comments on her Instagram page.

“You are the most beautiful girl in the world,” Martin reportedly wrote.

However, Martin has since removed photos with Gransee on social media. Gransee, meanwhile, appears to have moved on, too.

Meanwhile, Gransee, who has close to 30,000 followers on social media, appears to have moved on with a different athlete.

The former University of Iowa athlete shared an intimate photo with National Women’s Soccer League goalie Shelby Hogan.

The two appeared to be enjoying some time in New York City.

Gransee and Hogan haven’t publicly commented on their relationship, though photos like this on social media are pretty typically known as “hard launches.”

Hogan, 27, previously played for the Portland Thorns FC. She starred collegiately at Providence.

The NWSL goalie has more than 5,000 followers on Instagram.

Martin, meanwhile, and the rest of the WNBA are currently hoping to have an agreement ahead of the 2026 season.

The WNBA and the WNBA Players Association are hoping to have a collective bargaining agreement, though it’s been getting tense.

“The WNBA sent a collective bargaining agreement proposal to the union a day after the league received one from the players, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press on Sunday,” NBC Sports reported.

“The person spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the negotiations.

“The league’s response to a union proposal from Friday comes a few days before a Tuesday deadline set by the league, which said it would need at least a handshake agreement with the union to start the season on time.”

Hopefully, things will get worked out in time for the season.
