Davis Makes Weight, Attempts to Intimidate Opponent
During the face-off, Keyshawn, 25, tried to intimidate Madueno by putting his fist near his face, but Madueno remained unfazed, making Keyshawn appear somewhat like a bully.
Despite declaring himself the best at 135 lbs, Keyshawn’s confidence seems to waver when the name of Andy Cruz, his frequent conqueror, is brought up. The fight between Keyshawn and Madueno will be aired on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+ starting at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
Davis’s Frustration with Matchmaking
Keyshawn expressed his frustration with the matchmaking process, saying he can only call out opponents and can’t control who he faces in the ring.
Keyshawn’s readiness to face tougher opponents seems questionable, as he has yet to challenge the top contenders in his weight class. Top Rank’s future plans may include a match against WBO lightweight champion Berinchyk in 2025.
Davis’s Irritated Response to Calls for Tougher Opponents
Keyshawn responded defensively to calls for tougher opponents, asserting his dominance at 135 lbs and dismissing suggestions to fight younger talents like Muratalla.
