Khalil Rountree Jr. recently competed for the UFC 205-pound title at UFC 307, where he faced champion Alex Pereira in a hard-fought match that earned ‘Fight of the Night’ honors. Despite coming up short, Rountree Jr. put on a good performance and gained valuable experience from the bout.
Although he didn’t walk away with the championship belt, former two-division middleweight titleholder Israel Adesanya believes that Rountree Jr.’s stock rose even in defeat.
