Khalil Rountree Jr. suffered a facial injury during his fight with Alex Pereira at UFC 307 last month in Salt Lake City, but recent photos on Instagram show that he is healing well.
Fans on social media have compared his healing process to that of “prime Wolverine.”
In a recent interview, Pereira mentioned that his hand was hurting after the fight due to throwing jabs in the fourth round.
Despite the pain in his hand, Pereira felt that his jabs were effective during the fight and aimed to hurt Rountree.
Pereira will have ample time to recover as he is expected to be out of action until early 2025.
When he returns to the Octagon, Pereira is likely to face Magomed Ankalaev, the top contender for the light heavyweight title who is eager for a shot at the championship.
