UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev captured the 185-pound championship at UFC 319 last August, utterly decimating former titleholder Dricus Du Plessis.
Having not yet defended his belt, Chimaev is angling for a champion vs. champion mega fight against light heavyweight knockout artist Alex Pereira. And “Borz” wants the super fight to take place at the UFC White House event in June.

Chimaev then appealed to Brazilian fans to urger Pereira to accept the matchup. “All Brazilian fans tell this boy if you’re not scared tell him to fight,” Chimaev wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Pereira won back the 205-pound championship at UFC 320 in October and became a two-time light heavyweight titleholder defeating Magomed Ankalaev in a rematch.
Monday wasn’t the first time Chimaev has targeted Pereira. In December he posted a meme to social media accusing Pereira of avoiding him.

The UFC event at the White House is scheduled for June 14 in Washington D.C. The octagon will be set up in the South Lawn and the fighters will make their walks to the octagon from the Oval Office. UFC CEO Dana White recently shared details of the historic event.
