The Utah Jazz allocated their remaining $3 million in cap space to secure Kyle Filipowski with a four-year contract worth $12 million. This signing represents the largest deal for a player drafted in the second round in the last two seasons. Filipowski’s salary in the first year is on par with that of the 22nd overall pick.
Kyle Filipowski, who is managed by Kyle McAlarney and Mark Bartelstein, was initially expected to be a first round pick and was even invited to the green room.
During the eight Summer League games, Filipowski put up impressive averages of 11.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in just 22.2 minutes per game.
