Tracy Cortez is a familiar face in the world of mixed martial arts, but her popularity outside of the cage may not be as widespread as some might think.
Like many lesser-known athletes in the UFC, Cortez is a skilled competitor with an impressive record of 11-2. Despite having a following, the 30-year-old gained more attention after her relationship with Brian Ortega was made public — although that fame didn’t reach far beyond the MMA community.
At an Arizona Cardinals game with former UFC champion Sean O’Malley, an awkward moment unfolded between quarterback Kyler Murray and Tracy Cortez.
Murray not only didn’t recognize Cortez, but he also mistook her for O’Malley’s girlfriend — much to the embarrassment of the UFC women’s flyweight contender.
The encounter led to a tense situation until the NFL star left and returned to warm-up.

While both UFC stars had a memorable moment, Kyler Murray also shone with his performance in the game on Monday.
A standout moment saw Murray effortlessly scoring a 44-yard touchdown against the LA Chargers defense.
Kyler Murray’s standout performance helped the Cardinals secure a 17-15 victory over the Chargers, placing them in 2nd position in the NFC West after just seven games.

What’s next for Sean O’Malley?
With surgery sidelining him for a while, questions about Sean O’Malley’s return are arising.
Although reports suggest a summer return, Merab Dvalishvili is pushing for an immediate rematch.
While many saw Umar Nurmagomedov as the next bantamweight contender, he is rumored to have a fight booked against Song Yadong.
The UFC’s plans for Sean O’Malley remain uncertain, but both O’Malley and Dvalishvili have expressed interest in a rematch.
