Part 1: Kevin Magnussen, George Russell, and Esteban Ocon.

Esteban, nice to see you. Let’s look back at Interlagos a few weeks ago. Would you consider it one of your best Formula 1 races? Esteban Ocon: It was a fun and unexpected race. Our performance in the dry wasn’t strong, but the rain brought opportunities. Leading the race reminded me of 2016. It was a great race that spiced up the end of the season, making the competition more exciting for us in the Constructors’ Championship.

Although Las Vegas may not be wet this weekend, the cold weather awaits. Does the performance in Brazil give you hope for this weekend? EO: We need to stay grounded and make the most of any opportunities. The dry conditions will make it challenging, but we’ll do our best.

Currently sitting sixth in the Constructors’ Championship, the battle is with your future team. How confident is the team in retaining sixth place? EO: Personally, I’m not very confident. Our dry pace has improved, but the competition is tough. We need to seize opportunities and score points to end the season positively.

Kevin, let’s talk about the Constructors’ Championship battle at Haas. How confident are you in the team’s position? Kevin Magnussen: We were surprised by Alpine’s sudden lead, but we are competitive and aiming for points at each race. It’s an exciting battle for the team and driver.

How has the car’s performance changed with the recent upgrades? KM: The upgrades have enhanced the car’s speed, drivability, and tire management. The team’s development throughout the season has been a significant improvement.

Where has the car improved the most for you? KM: The predictability and consistency of the car have made a difference, especially in maximizing lap times and tire performance.

After missing Interlagos and watching races on TV, how eager are you to get back in the car this weekend? KM: It’s been strange not racing, so I’m looking forward to getting back on track.

George, Brazil seemed like a missed opportunity for you and Mercedes. What lessons were learned? George Russell: The race showed how quickly decisions can impact the outcome. We need to adapt quickly and not overlook critical race developments.

How encouraged are you by the car’s pace in Brazil and the recent points finishes? GR: Brazil was a unique race, but we recognize our position behind the top teams. We need to focus on consistency and performance.

Reflecting on the season, with wins and frustrations, how will you review it? GR: The car’s narrow performance window has been challenging, but we’ve capitalized on race-winning opportunities. We aim to make the car more consistent over the season.

Questions From The Floor

(David Croft – Sky Sports F1) George, as a driver representative, how do you feel about the change in Race Director before the street race in Las Vegas? GR: The change was unexpected, adding pressure to the new director. As drivers, we value transparency and inclusion in decision-making.

(Nelson Valkenburg – Viaplay) George, how do you view the recent statement from the GPDA towards the FIA? GR: The statement reflects the desire for collaboration and transparency with the FIA to improve the sport collectively.

(Roldan Rodriguez – DAZN Spain) Kevin, as the season nears its end, are you feeling any special emotions? KM: As this may be my last race in Formula 1, I focus on enjoying each moment and leaving a positive impact.

Kevin, there have been discussions about your future with Haas. Can you share any updates on potential collaborations? KM: We are exploring opportunities to work together in some capacity, and I am open to contributing in any way.
