Charlie Elliott has advanced Inverurie Locos to the semi-finals of the ScottishPower National League Cup with a dramatic last-minute goal in extra time during a tense quarter final match against Dryburgh Athletic in Dundee.
The game was physical, with limited chances for both teams. Officials from both sides rushed to aid Locos striker Vikki Riddell after she suffered an injury. Dryburgh Athletic goalkeeper Lilah Farquharson made a fantastic diving save to prevent an own goal, signaling that extra time was likely. It was Locos who ultimately secured the victory, with Elliott scoring the winning goal from a corner in the 120th minute.
Renfrew Ladies also advanced to the draw in a similar fashion, with Nicole Wilkie scoring a late winner in the second half of extra time against Championship leaders East Fife.
The quarter final match between the second and third-placed teams in the Championship table ended up being one-sided, as hosts Stirling University defeated Inverness Caledonian Thistle 9-0.
The all-League One tie between Kilwinning and Bonnyrigg Rose was a tightly contested game. Kilwinning took an early lead with a goal, but Bonnyrigg equalized with a corner kick from Dani Manson, setting up an intense final 30 minutes. Bonnyrigg secured their spot in the semi-finals with a long-range goal from Kazya Stevens in extra time.

Bishopton extended their lead in SWFL West with a 5-0 win over Drumchapel United, while Glenrothes Strollers achieved a similar feat in SWFL East with a 4-1 victory against Penicuik Athletic. New teams Danderhall Miners and St Anthony’s secured important wins over McDermid Ladies and Harmony Row respectively, while Dunfermline Athletic took advantage of Alloa’s points drop against Linlithgow to claim the top spot in SWFL Central.
