Charles Leclerc acknowledges the positive impact on Formula 1 of the sport’s current competitiveness and uncertainty, but also underlines Ferrari’s “big determination” to regain its winning form in the second half of the 2024 season.
The Scuderia’s performance has varied year-to-date, transitioning from being Red Bull’s closest competitor after winning in Australia and Monaco to becoming the fourth best team on the grid by F1’s summer break.
Throughout this summer, the Italian team has struggled to keep up with its rivals in terms of pace, both in qualifying and during races, mainly due to a development program that has not met expectations.
As a result, Ferrari has slipped down the standings while McLaren and Mercedes have stepped up to challenge Red Bull successfully.
Nevertheless, the competition remains fierce at the front of the grid, making race days a thrilling spectacle where fortunes can change in an instant.

“The team is highly motivated, and I hope we can overcome these challenges swiftly.”
