Lexie Hull Levels Massive Jealousy Accusation at WNBA Rivals at Caitlin Clark’s Expense in Honest Behind-Closed-Doors Locker Room Revelation

Lexie Hull has risen to the ranks of the irreplaceable talents in the WNBA and, more particularly, to the Indiana Fever. Since the arrival of Caitlin Clark, the Fever’s rise has been exponential, and Hull believes that the concentration of power in Indianapolis has made other teams jealous of the franchise.

On Monday, Glamour magazine named Hull in the list of 2025 Women of the Year in the WNBA. The Fever star was joined by Napheesa Collier, Nyara and Satou Sabally and Jonquel Jones.

In an exclusive interview with the magazine, Lexie Hull was asked if the Fever had a target on their back compared to the other teams in the league. The WNBA guard revealed that other teams had become jealous of the Fever since Caitlin Clark joined the team.

“I think there is a level of jealousy when it comes to the Fever, just because of the media attention and the fans that have shown up for us ever since Caitlin got here,” she said. “We’ve heard people and players and teams talking in their locker room about, ‘We can’t let the Fever win.'”

However, for Lexie Hull, the jealousy was healthy for the league.

“If you have extra motivation to beat us because of something out of our control, that’s fine, if that’s what it takes for you guys to come and try extra hard,” Hull added. “I think a little bit of that is needed across the league…. Everyone should feel like they’re getting everyone else’s best, and I do feel like we get everyone else’s best.”

With the league in the midst of the ongoing tension because of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Hull said that players could fight together for a common cause, while also keeping the spark of rivalry alive.

For the first time since joining the Indiana Fever in 2022, Lexie Hull’s name has entered free agency. Hull, who was a rotational player in her first two seasons, had a breakout season last year. Since then, she had become one of the core stars in Indiana.

Hull has not only contributed with her elite 3-point shooting, but she is also the most energetic defender on the Fever roster. With Hull entering the free agency, and the Fever aiming high for next season, Indiana’s front office will make her a priority this offseason.

During her conversation with IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson, Hull made it crystal clear that she wanted to be in Indiana.

“I’ve built a life here, and I love this franchise,” Hull said. “I love the people, I love the fans, so we’ll see what comes.”

She is a restricted free agent. The Fever can match any offer from rival teams and keep Lexie Hull.
