Former WNBA star Liz Cambage is finding success in the digital world, earning over $1.5 million a year through her OnlyFans account. This amount dwarfs the $590,000 she made during her five-season career in the league.
After launching her OnlyFans in late 2021 following her departure from the Las Vegas Aces, Cambage has become a prominent figure on the platform, with over 140 posts.
Despite not updating since May 9, 2024, reports indicate that her earnings remain steady at around $1.5 million annually.
Recently, Cambage has shifted her social media focus from promoting her OnlyFans to highlighting her role as co-founder of Australian wellness brand Vitadrop. She initially had reservations about joining OnlyFans but received support from her friends and family.
“I was so scared to actually do it,” she admitted. “But I had my friends and family encourage me and remind me that people will have their opinions regardless.”
Her decision to go public with her OnlyFans received significant attention online, with 340 comments, 2.1k retweets, 2.1k likes, and nearly 600 bookmarks. Beyond her success on OnlyFans, Cambage is also represented by IMG Models and has appeared in campaigns for brands like Savage x Fenty and Adidas.
She made headlines in Playboy’s November 2023 issue, discussing nudity and body positivity, stating, “My body is powerful. I’m proud of my six-foot-eight body and all that it can do.”
Cambage has faced criticism throughout her basketball career, including allegations of racially taunting Nigerian players in 2022. She denied the claims in an open letter but received backlash from the Nigerian players and media.
Cambage’s WNBA journey had a rocky start when she initially hesitated to join the Tulsa Shock, who drafted her second overall in 2011. After playing in China and Australia, she returned to the WNBA in 2018 with the Dallas Wings but requested a trade due to dissatisfaction with pay.
Her time with the Las Vegas Aces and Los Angeles Sparks was plagued with disputes, leading to her departure from the Sparks in 2022. She now plays for Sichuan Yuanda in Asia, signing a $1 million deal with the franchise.
Arike Ogunbowale, a WNBA star and Wings guard, currently holds the highest salary in the league at $241,984.
