JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida head women’s soccer coach Eric Faulconer is pleased to announce the addition of defender Braelyn McMillan to the team’s 2025 roster. McMillan, a native of the Jacksonville area, hails from Creekside High School and Florida Elite ECNL and will join the Ospreys as a freshman this upcoming fall.
McMillan currently serves as captain at Creekside High School, where she played a key role in the team’s capture of two 7A high school state championships in 2022 and 2024. She has previously played alongside current Ospreys Paige McSwigan and Brenna Robinson on Creekside’s 2022 state championship team.
Hailing from St. Johns, Fla., McMillan has earned ECNL First Team All-Conference honors during her youth club career with Florida Elite ECNL. She is considered a TopDrawer Soccer 3-Star prospect and was ranked as high as 10th in the 2025 Florida recruiting class by TopDrawer.
“We are thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Braelyn McMillan to our 2025 freshman class. With her exceptional technical ability and pace, we believe she will make a significant impact in our backline for years to come. We are proud to have added two of the top outside backs in the Jacksonville area with the addition of left-sided defender Natalie McCann and Braelyn McMillan. Keeping local talent like Braelyn at home is a testament to our program’s strength.” Eric Faulconer, Head Women’s Soccer Coach
“Braelyn is undoubtedly one of the hardest working and most consistent players. Her speed and technical ability make her a dangerous asset at outside back. In addition to her athletic prowess, her soccer IQ and ball control will greatly contribute to her success at UNF. Beyond her skills on the field, Braelyn is a great person and teammate. I have no doubt she will excel at UNF.” Lexi Messick, Creekside High School Head Coach
