In the category of “How has this not already happened??”, WNBA and and former LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese has announced a new deal with Reese’s Pieces. Again, how has this not already happened?
Reese herself made the comment back in June, “Reese’s Pieces, where ya’ll at?” And it didn’t take long for Reese’s officials to reach out to Reese and get a deal done.
The new deal will feature apparel sporting the company’s iconic orange, brown and yellow colors with Reese’s name printed on the back of jerseys and shirts.
Reese transferred from Maryland to LSU in her Junior year and helped lead LSU to a National Championship in women’s basketball. She was selected unanimously as a first-team All American, and was also selected as Most Outstanding Player.
Reese set the NCAA single-season record in double-doubles, and the SEC single-season record in rebounds. As a senior at LSU, she was named SEC Player of the Year as well as earning All-American honors.
After being selected by the Chicago Sky as the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, Reese was named an WNBA All-Star and set the WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles in her rookie season.
