Worlds 2024 has begun with the top League of Legends teams in the world traveling to Europe. MAD Lions are the host team during the Play-In stage and they must capitalize on that advantage. Their second game in the Play-In journey is against PSG Esports. MAD secured a strong victory against Vikings on the first day and aims to continue their success.

MAD Lions vs PSG Game 1
A strong performance was needed by MAD, especially after 100 Thieves’ loss yesterday. MAD capitalized on a powerful Early Game to secure an early lead. However, PSG made a significant play around the second Grub fight, reclaiming the lead. As the game progressed, MAD aimed to increase their advantage, compensating for some shaky plays in the mid-game.
By the late game, victory seemed within MAD’s grasp as they pushed for the win. Overall, it was a solid game for MAD, setting them up for success in Game Two of Worlds 2024. PSG had opportunities but will need to improve for the next game.

MAD Lions vs PSG Game 2
PSG needed a strong Game Two to get back into the series. MAD secured first blood, and once again, the early game favored the European side. Despite this, PSG fought back as the game progressed into the mid-game. PSG maintained their lead into the latter stages of the mid-game, putting MAD under pressure.
After a significant battle, PSG claimed the win, pushing the series to a deciding third game. It appeared shaky for a while, with MAD threatening a comeback. However, PSG stood tall and secured a crucial win as we headed into Game Three.

MAD Lions vs PSG Game 3
As expected, the series goes to a decisive final game. While the loser isn’t eliminated, a win can make things much simpler. MAD cannot afford to lose this series, so they must focus. The early game remained close, but PSG maintained a slight advantage in this crucial last game.
A pivotal moment for MAD occurred as they caught out PSG, eliminating four members of the PSG team. MAD used this to secure the Baron pit, completely changing the game. With a spot in the Swiss Stage at stake, MAD played cautiously and did not overextend. While MAD set up for the Baron, PSG had to take action, but it wasn’t enough. MAD sealed the series victory with an ACE.
