The Orlando Magic waived guard Johnell Davis. Orlando filled that open roster spot by signing guard Jalen Crutcher.
Davis had been signed to an Exhibit 10 contract. Crutcher is also signed to an Exhibit 10 deal. Both players are expected to play with the Osceola Magic of the G League this season.
Last season, in 46 games with the Birmingham Squadron of the G League, Crutcher averaged 19.4 points, 7.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-2 guard had 46/39/91 shooting splits.
