Manchester City and Pep Guardiola started their campaign with a win against rivals Manchester United in the Community Shield.
The sun was shining down on the Wembley pitch on a Saturday afternoon, but the game itself was forgettable.
For the first 75 minutes, there were no shots on target as the champions opted to rest key players.
Manchester United had better chances, with Scott McTominay missing a notable opportunity in the second half.
Despite having players like Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire on the field, United struggled to make an impact in the opening match.
With 70 minutes gone, the game finally picked up pace.
United took the lead late in the game through Alejandro Garnacho, only for City to equalize late on.

In typical City fashion, they fought back and leveled the score with a header from substitute Bernardo Silva just two minutes before full time.
With no extra time in the Community Shield, the winner was decided by a penalty shootout.
The players headed to the end filled with United fans, which seemed to give an advantage to the FA Cup holders.
After a series of successful penalties from both teams, the match was finally decided when Jonny Evans missed for United, allowing Manuel Akanji to score the winning penalty for City.
