Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
Grace Clinton scored early for The Red Devils, but Nikita Parris equalized for Brighton & Hove Albion in front of a record crowd of 8,369.
After the match, Skinner spoke to the media, giving his thoughts on the game. While noting both positives and negatives, he overall felt happy with the team’s performance.
Skinner commented, “We aim to win every game, and I really enjoyed this one. I was pleased with our tactical approach in the first half, particularly with our pressing. However, we missed some opportunities in the final third. Despite Brighton’s changes in the second half, I believe it was our best performance in terms of ball control.”
He emphasized the investment in Brighton & Hove Albion, acknowledging them as a strong team.
As for midfielder Grace Clinton’s performance, Skinner praised her growth and described her as a ‘game-changer’.
Manchester United may have dropped points for the first time this season, but Skinner is content with the team’s unity and progress.
Looking ahead, Manchester United will face Arsenal on November 3, 2024, at the Leigh Sports Village.
