A significant lightweight matchup is set for Australia.
Sources have confirmed that Mateusz Gamrot will face Dan Hooker at UFC 305 on Aug. 17 at RAC Arena in Perth. Verbal agreements have been made for the fight, which Hooker hinted at on his Instagram Stories recently.
Gamrot comes into the bout with three consecutive wins and victories in seven of his last eight fights. The former KSW champion defeated Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 299 in March.
Hooker will be making his return to the octagon after 13 months, having won his last two fights. His most recent win was a split decision victory over Jalin Turner at UFC 290 in July 2023.
UFC 305 will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya.
