RESULTS
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The last fall event before the NCAA Individual Championships took place inside the comfort confines of the Eck Tennis Pavilion over this past weekend. Notre Dame competed against student-athletes from Princeton, Northwestern, Iowa and Holy Cross over Nov. 14-16.
Three Irish posted winning records in singles play, including Bojana Pozder, who went unblemished at 2-0. No. 44 Akari Matsuno earned the most singles wins at 3-1 and was also followed by Sophia Holod at 2-1. Pozder, along with Bianca Molnar, currently lead the Irish with seven singles victories this fall.
Speaking of Matsuno racking up wins, she and Kovalcik went an unblemished 3-0 in doubles action. Pozder and Molnar, who are now in Orlando in prep for the NCAA Doubles Championships, went 1-1 over the weekend. Their record as a doubles tandem this fall is now 11-3.
