Moore Irons and Clark defy stereotypes.
Moore Irons was a dynamic and flashy athlete. During the Lynx championship years, she stood out on a team of skilled players by making unexpected plays, such as sinking long three-pointers or scoring blind, reverse layups.
Clark has the ability to make difficult shots from 26 feet away with a hand in her face, and then follow it up with a no-look pass to a teammate.
Watching Moore Irons or Clark play leaves fans in awe, appreciating them as true entertainers.
“With Caitlin, and the full-circle moment, it just feels like you couldn’t have planned it any better,” Moore Irons said.
The crowd at Saturday night’s game surpassed Clark’s previous visit, becoming the largest regular season crowd in franchise history at 19,023. The only larger crowd was at Game 5 of the 2016 WNBA Finals with 19,423 spectators. Tickets for Saturday’s game were selling for $4,000 on the secondary market. It may be just a coincidence, but both attendance records involve Moore Irons’ jersey number 23.
