PHILIPPINES – Paige McSwigan made the Philippine Women’s National Team roster, as well as her first career appearance against UAE FA in a friendly match on Friday afternoon.
McSwigan was one of 24 players to make the full roster for the Philippine National Team. She was one of eight midfielders to be selected for the Dubai Camp squad list on Tuesday, Mar. 25.
The redshirt sophomore is one of three newcomers to the national team joining Madison Ayson and Aliana Weibel. McSwigan made her debut on Thursday, Apr. 4, in the 45th minute against UAE FA with the team up by a score of 4-0.
The St. Johns, Fla., native had another outstanding season with the Ospreys this past fall with a Second Team All-ASUN selection and All-South Region Third Team from the United Soccer Coaches. She also excelled in the classroom with ASUN All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District Team recognitions.
McSwigan will return on Monday, Apr. 8, for its second of two friendly matches against UAE FA. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m., local time and 11:30 a.m. EST.
