WNBA star Kate Martin’s girlfriend is a consultant at a recruitment firm based in Boston.
The Las Vegas Aces guard shared a photo of the young couple on Instagram this week.
Kate and Claire Gransee went public at the end of June.
She confirmed they are dating by replying to a fan on TikTok.
“I can’t even be upsets if that’s Kate Martin’s girlfriend because she is LITERALLY GORGEOUS STUNNING BEAUTIFUL PERFECT,” said the fan.
“She is gorgeous, stunning & perfect, I can’t lie,” replied Martin.
Kate and her girlfriend both attended the University of Iowa.
Claire graduated with a major in Communication Studies and minors in Law and Media Literacy earlier this year.
She currently works as a staff consultant for the recruitment agency Beacon Hill Technologies, per her LinkedIn profile.
They spent the WNBA break together, as was made clear in their social media posts.
Claire, who is from Boston, has 19,000 followers on Instagram.
Martin hurt her leg during Las Vegas’ defeat to the Chicago Sky before the Olympic break.
She was selected in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Kate, 24, is averaging 3.6 points, two rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
The WNBA has enjoyed bumper ratings since Caitlin Clark entered the league this season.
But with that comes increased scrutiny for all players.
How the WNBA works
THE 2024 WNBA season features 12 teams with the regular-season running from May 14 to September 9.
Each team plays 40 regular-season games – four against five teams from the same conference and two teams from the other conference, and three games against the remaining four teams.
The top eight teams in the league standings qualify for the playoffs – regardless of what conference they’re in.
The playoffs will use a best-of-three format in the first round while the semifinals and WNBA Finals are best of five.
This season also includes a month-long break for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The Las Vegas Aces are defending back-to-back WNBA champions.
ESPN anchor Elle Duncan has apologized to former WNBA champion Sheryl Swoopes for calling her out on her podcast.
Duncan, 41, claimed six-time All-Star Swoopes had been spreading “hate” against WNBA rookie Clark.
Swoopes discussed the WNBA Rookie of the Year race between Clark and Angel Reese on her own Queens of the Court podcast last week.
The three-time MVP chose Chicago Sky’s Reese as her pick to win the gong.
“I love her, but she’s wrong here,” Duncan said of Swoopes’ take, per The Daily Mail.
“She had some thoughts. She’s had some thoughts previously about Caitlin.
“This just doesn’t feel right at all and it is starting to feel a little bit like hate from Sheryl, who just in this particular space, stop.”
‘A little more motivation’
Caitlin Clark insists her Paris 2024 snub has made her even more hungry and determined to realize her Olympic dream.
The WNBA rookie sensation was left off the roster for this summer’s Olympics in a shock to many.
Clark will not be in Paris this summer, but she’s keeping her head up
“I think it just gives you something to work for,” Clark said.
“It’s a dream, hopefully one day I can be there. I think it’s just a little more motivation.
“You remember that. Hopefully, when four years comes back, I can be there. I’m excited for the girls that are on the team.
“I know it’s the most competitive team in the world and I know it<...
