To celebrate Petronas’ 50th anniversary, the Silver Arrows will showcase a new look at the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix. The W15 will feature the iconic emerald green color of the team’s Title and Technical Partner, replacing the usual silver on the nose and sidepods.
Given Malaysia’s proximity to Singapore, the Grand Prix serves as a fitting location to commemorate this significant milestone. Established in 1974, Petronas has evolved into a leading global energy and solutions company, ranking among the largest corporations on the Fortune Global 500 list.
Since Mercedes’ return to Formula 1 as a full works team in 2010, Petronas has been closely associated with the team. Serving as the Title Partner from the beginning, the Malaysian energy company has played a pivotal role in the team’s impressive achievement of eight consecutive Constructors’ Championships and seven Drivers’ titles, all fueled by their top-notch fuels and lubricants.
Toto Wolff, Lewis Hamilton, and George Russell are scheduled to visit Petronas in Malaysia in the coming week as part of the festivities commemorating the company’s 50th anniversary.
Wolff expressed, “Our partnership with Petronas is our longest standing and still going strong. We both share a commitment to innovation and performance, which has driven our incredible success in recent years with Petronas at the core.”
Hamilton added, “Congratulations to Petronas on their 50th anniversary. They have been pivotal to our success, and it’s a privilege to celebrate this milestone and our journey together at such a significant race.”
Russell commented, “It’s great to celebrate Petronas’ 50th anniversary with a special livery in Singapore. As our Title and Technical Partner, Petronas’ contribution to our on-track performance is immense. I look forward to continuing the celebrations in Malaysia next week.”
