A recent article from Sarah Bishop for ESPN highlighted the Miami Dolphins players discussing the team’s dining options, led by dietician John Parenti, and how these meals help the team succeed on game days.
Parenti, the second-highest-rated team dietician in the National Football League, is making a difference in South Florida. His efforts have earned the Dolphins “A” grades for both the dietician and food and cafeteria categories in the NFL Players Association Report Card grading metrics. This played a part in attracting free agents to sign with the Dolphins this offseason.
Tight end Durham Smythe praised Miami’s dietician, saying, “I’ve seen John [Parenti] walk into the cafeteria with guys and instruct them on what and how much to pick. You can’t go wrong with that guidance.”
One of Miami’s favorite players, defensive tackle Zach Sieler, revealed his love for gyros, a Greek/Lebanese dish with lamb cooked on a rotisserie and served in pita bread with various toppings.
Sieler thanked Parenti and his staff, saying, “[The staff] go above and beyond to ensure everyone is treated to reach their full potential each day.”
