MANCHESTER, England – UFC heavyweight Mick Parkin gets the chance to add to his undefeated record on home soil, and is confident Lukasz Brzeski won’t spoil his party.
Parkin (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) will share the octagon with Brzeski (10-4-1 MMA, 1-3 UFC) on the prelims of UFC 304 (pay-per-view, ESPN2, ESPN+) at Co-op Live in what will be his fourth appearance in the promotion.
England’s Parkin is thrilled to fight in front of a home crowd for the second time while in the UFC, and expects he will prevent Brzeski from building momentum while recording his first finish in the promotion.
“I think I’m loads better than him everywhere, like technically much better,” Parkin told reporters, including MMA Junkie, at the UFC 304 media day. “He’s aggressive, and he’s definitely tough, which could make for a hard, gritty fight. So, I won’t be surprised if it’s a harder fight than people are expecting, but can’t see him beating us.”
Parkin, a Dana White’s Contender Series veteran, has won his first three UFC bouts. Each win was a unanimous decision, which turned away Jamal Pogues, Caio Machado, and Mohammed Usman.
Brzeski will enter after securing his first victory in nearly four years. He took a decision over Valter Walker, his first win in the UFC after going 0-3 following a no contest in his DWCS appearance in 2021.
