According to Scotto, Randle has agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Timberwolves after playing for AEK Athens last season and having previous experience with several other NBA teams.
Throughout his NBA career, which spans four seasons, Randle has averages of 5.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, with shooting percentages of 40.1% from the field and 36.1% from three-point range in 119 games.
His longest stint was with the Washington Wizards, where he played in 49 games (two starts).
Randle is currently 31 years old.
Last season, the Timberwolves secured the third seed in the Western Conference with a 56-26 record.
They made it to the conference finals for the first time since 2004 after defeating the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets in the first two rounds of the NBA playoffs.
The Timberwolves will kick off the new season on October 22 by playing the Los Angeles Lakers in California.
