Movsar Evloev Says Lerone Murphy Is “Nothing Special,” Claims He’s “Better Everywhere” Ahead Of UFC London On March 21

Movsar Evloev appears extremely driven as he gears up for his upcoming UFC fight.

Evloev is set to return to the Octagon after more than a year on the sidelines, headlining UFC London on March 21 at the O2 Arena in the United Kingdom, where he will face Lerone Murphy in a potential featherweight title eliminator.

Holding the No. 1 spot in the featherweight rankings, Movsar Evloev is determined to remind the division of his pedigree by putting on a commanding performance against No. 3-ranked Murphy and leaving little doubt about his championship ambitions.

Movsar Evloev Downplays Lerone Murphy’s Skillset Ahead Of UFC London

During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Movsar Evloev discussed his upcoming matchup against Lerone Murphy at UFC London and emphasized the significance of the bout for his career.

The 31-year-old Russian said he is highly motivated to secure a title shot with a victory. While he made it clear he isn’t overlooking Murphy, Evloev expressed confidence in his own superiority, noting that he is the more complete fighter and believes “The Miracle” lacks the tools to hand him a defeat.

“I’m not trying to underestimate this guy, but I think I’m better everywhere,” Evloev said. “He’s a striking guy. He has pretty good striking skills, but I don’t see nothing special. He’s good with the smart moves in striking, but I will use my tools with wrestling, pressure, everything, so I can win this fight as soon as possible.”

Movsar Evloev last competed at UFC 310 in December 2024, earning a unanimous decision victory over former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling. He remains unbeaten through nine UFC appearances, with notable wins against top contenders such as Diego Lopes and Arnold Allen, though he is still searching for his first finish inside the promotion.

Evloev boasts a flawless professional record of 19-0, including four victories by submission.

Meanwhile, Murphy enters the bout on the back of a devastating first-round knockout of debutant Aaron Pico at UFC 319 in August 2025. “The Miracle” is also unbeaten in the UFC, holding a 9-0-1 record that includes victories over Josh Emmett, Edson Barboza, and Dan Ige.

Overall, Murphy owns an impressive professional record of 17-0-1, highlighted by eight wins via knockout.
