CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois’ opponents at the Music City Classic from Nov. 25-27 have been finalized, revealing another piece of the 2024-25 women’s basketball nonconference schedule. The Orange and Blue will face Maryland Eastern Shore on Nov. 26, followed by Kentucky on Nov. 27.
The Fighting Illini are one of six teams competing at the Trevecca Nazarene University-hosted event. Action will take place at the Trevecca Trojan Fieldhouse, which holds a capacity of 1,500 fans.
Illinois is slated to tip off against Maryland Eastern Shore at 1:15 p.m. CT on Nov. 26 and will face Kentucky at 7 p.m. on Nov. 27.
Illinois holds a 4-2 all-time record against Kentucky, with the most recent matchup taking place during the 2015-16 campaign. This year’s game against Maryland Eastern Shore will be the first-ever meeting between the sides.
Arizona State, Dayton, and South Dakota are also competing at the Music City Classic.
