As the Minnesota Lynx battled with the Mercury, I was about to go to bed. But something inside me urged me to stay up and watch. I am so grateful I did because what unfolded on the court was nothing short of spectacular. Thank you, basketball gods, for this masterpiece.
Napheesa Collier delivered one of the most outstanding playoff performances I have ever witnessed. She was on fire, hitting shots from all angles on the court. Phoenix couldn’t stop her, as she seemed to be several moves ahead like in a chess game. She displayed patience and skillful movement, leaving Phoenix scrambling to keep up. When Phee jokingly mentioned wanting to “end” Diana Taurasi’s career, she seemed dead serious.
