The national half marathon championships will be held alongside the Charleville Half Marathon this Sunday (Sept 15th), which is already sold out.
When
Hosted by North Cork AC, the race will start at 10am, taking participants from Charleville to Kilmallock and back.
The Race Course
With over 900 championship entries, the race promises to be highly competitive on one of the flattest and straightest half marathon courses, with participants vying for team and individual honors across various age groups.
Competitors
The individual race is expected to be intense, with several contenders vying for podium positions.
Notable competitors include Shona Heaslip, Grace Lynch, Kate Purcell, Ciara Wilson, Norah Newcombe Pieterse, and reigning champion Ryan Creech.
The Men’s Race
Ryan Creech aims to defend his title, but faces tough competition from Hugh Armstrong, Emmet Jennings, John Travers, and others.
The Women’s Race
Strong teams from Celbridge AC (Men) and Sli Cualann AC (Women) will be challenged by clubs from Cork and Limerick.
