Natasha Hiedeman is expected to sign a deal to return to the Minnesota Lynx, first reported by Kent Youngblood of the Minnesota Star Tribune. Hiedeman moved to a new squad for the first time in her career in 2024 following a trade from the Connecticut Sun to the Lynx where she served as the backup point guard behind Courtney Williams in Minnesota. Hiedeman took on a bit of a different role than she has in the past with the Sun, coming off the bench rather than serving as starting point guard like she did the past two years with Connecticut. Though she shifted to the bench in 2024, Hiedeman still made an impact and once again proved her value as an experienced veteran presence on and off the court.
Turning 28 in February and entering her seventh season in the WNBA, Hiedeman enters 2025 looking to improve upon somewhat of a step back in production—mainly shooting the ball—in 2024 compared to what she has produced in the past. Coming off the bench in all 40 appearances with the Lynx, Hiedeman averaged 4.9 PPG, 2.4 APG, 1.6 RPG, and 0.8 SPG over 15.2 MPG.
