The competitive map pool will continue to evolve with the release of the VALORANT patch 9.08. As always, a few maps will be removed from the queue and some of them will make their way back to the game.
Fortunately, we already have insight into VALORANT Patch 9.08’s competitive map pool thanks to several reputable leakers. So, let’s dive into the list of maps where you’ll be able to push your rank in the upcoming patch.

Besides the map selection, the next patch will more likely bring a new bundle known as Doombringer which will consist of a skin collection for Phantom, Odin, Judge, Sheriff, and a Hammer melee.
VALORANT Patch 9.08 release date and time
VALORANT 9.08 will be released alongside Episode 9 Act 3 on Oct. 23, 2024. Riot Games, however, hasn’t confirmed the official date of the next patch. So, make sure to take the above info with a pinch of salt until it’s confirmed. If this schedule turns out to be true, the new update will go live for everyone at the following times:
Pacific Time (PT): 2:00 PM
Mountain Time (MT): 3:00 PM
Central Time (CT): 4:00 PM
Eastern Time (ET): 5:00 PM
Brasília Time (BRT): 6:00 PM
British Time (BST): 10:00 PM
Central European Time (CET): 11:00 PM
Eastern European Time (EET): 12:00 AM
Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST): 7:00 AM
Japan Standard Time (JST): 6:00 AM
Indian Standard Time (IST): 7:30 AM
China Standard Time (CST): 6:00 AM
However, we’re pretty sure the servers will go offline before the update release during which players won’t be able to play matches, either ranked or unranked. Also, chances are your rank will be reset at the end of the act so make sure to achieve your desired rank before the current act ends.
