According to Pro Football Focus, the New York Giants offensive line has shown significant improvement this season, with a 23.4 point increase in the rankings.
In 2023, they were ranked last at 32nd place.
After their Week 10 loss to the Carolina Panthers, PFF moved the Giants up to the 25th spot in the NFL rankings, a four-position improvement from the previous week.
The Giants made changes to their offensive line, with Jermaine Eluemunor moving to left tackle and Evan Neal starting at right tackle for the first time this season. Neal had an impressive performance against the Panthers, earning a 93.4 PFF run-blocking grade, the second highest among all offensive tackles in the NFL that week.
Since Week 2, guard Jon Runyan has only allowed a knockdown on 0.5% of pass plays, ranking 14th out of 73 qualifying guards.
PFF identified right guard Greg Van Roten as the top player, with only one pressure allowed against Carolina and a PFF pass-blocking grade of 84.4, ranking ninth among guards that week.
All five linemen – Eluemunor, Neal, Runyan, Van Roten, and center John Michael Schmitz – played every offensive snap in the game against the Panthers.
Under the guidance of first-year unit coach Carmen Bricillo, the offensive line is making progress, especially important after losing left tackle Andrew Thomas to a season-ending foot injury in Week 7.
