The next Fortnite update has been delayed! Since the launch of the Galactic Battle Mini Season, we’ve had the entire schedule for updates already announced. Epic showed off everything that had up planned for the Star Wars mini season as it first launched. Both, the dates they’ll come out and the content that’s planned with it. However, it seems Epic did still have some surprises left. Namely, pushing the next update back. Will this effect the timing of the rest of the season?
Galactic Battle is only running for a month. It began in May, and it’ll end the first week of June. However, we have been getting weekly updates. The first added Mace Windu. The next is Chewbacca with the Wookie Bowcaster, the week after will be Chewbacca. Before we eventually get the Imperial Star Destroyer boss transformation and then the next Fortnite live event. The update dates for these changes could be altered with the next Fortnite update delayed though.
Fortnite Update Delayed – When Is It Releasing?
Source: Epic
With the next Fortnite update delayed, it’s been pushed back to Friday. It was originally supposed to arrive on Thursday. However, at the last-minute Epic has pushed it back a day. These updates scheduled for Thursdays have already come a little later than normal. Lining up with the season’s original release rather than the normal Tuesdays for Fortnite patches. However, with this change the next update’s content will get a little less time in the spotlight.
It’s possible that we also see the next two patches pushed back to Fridays as well, to give us an extra day for each of the weeks. Although, with the season ending at the same date, we could still be keeping to the same schedule. While these updates are introducing plenty of new stuff, it’s a bit different from previous weekly schedules.
The Galactic Battle updates are mainly adding a new character and their associated weapons. In the past, mini seasons have rotated through entire season’s worth of changes on a weekly basis, like we saw with Fortnite OG. Since these are smaller updates, getting it pushed by a day probably won’t disrupt things too much. By the time the season ends, we’ll have had plenty of time with the Star Wars content.
