Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The votes have been tallied and the results are in for this week’s Seahawks Reacts survey!
We start off with a couple of vibes checkers. Connor Williams is now with the Seahawks as the presumptive starting center. There are still question marks at both guard spots, and even right tackle pending Abe Lucas’ health. The big thing? Optimism has increased among respondents regarding the state of the offensive line.
Williams arrives a week after the Seahawks beat up the Los Angeles Chargers, and while it’s just a preseason game and people shouldn’t care about the final score, the nature of the performance has fans buzzing about what’s to come under Mike Macdonald.
Lastly, there’s the future of cornerback Mike Jackson Sr. He’s back at practice after missing some time due to injury, and he’s fighting for a roster spot. Riq Woolen, Devon Witherspoon, and Tre Brown have solidified their spots, Artie Burns could be set as a backup slot, and the Seahawks have rookies D.J. James, Nehemiah Pritchett, and even UDFA Carlton Johnson in the mix. Will the Seahawks keep Jackson on the roster on cutdown day? It looks like the bulk of fans surveyed believe he’ll be traded or waived, while about a third think he will stay.
It will be interesting to see how much (if at all) Jackson plays on Saturday against the Tennessee Titans. Preseason playing time and the length of game action can often be an indicator of someone’s roster spot safety.
We’ll leave Reacts aside until after roster cutdown day. Thanks to everyone for participating!
