NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball announce major new partnership with Renew Holdings plc.
NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball has announced a new two-year extendable associate partnership with Leeds-based company Renew Holdings plc.
Renew Holdings plc, is a Leeds headquartered public company with over a billion-pound turnover, employing over 5,000 staff nationally across its various subsidiary businesses. The Group operates across the country’s most challenging infrastructure networks covering the Rail, Infrastructure, Energy and Environmental sectors.
A key target for Renew is to attract more women into their workforce and through the partnership with NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball and its connections to schools, higher education, community clubs and a large female fan base, it will help the company to reach a larger audience and showcase the opportunities for careers across the engineering sectors where it operates.
The partnership demonstrates Renew’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity as well as backing the club’s ambition to grow the game in the north at a grassroots level through the outreach work with its charity, Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
The Renew logo will feature on the playing dress for the Netball Super League team and the Yorkshire and North East Pathway sides. Renew will also sponsor the team’s most capped England international and Commonwealth Gold winner Geva Mentor CBE, who will speak at Renew’s Leadership Conference later this month.
Renew Holdings plc, CEO, Paul Scott said: “We are delighted to establish a partnership with NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball. From our very first meeting with the team, it was clear we were aligned on culture, values and an ambition to improve diversity and inclusivity.
“The Partnership and our collaboration to reach a wider more diverse audience of future employees has tremendous potential. We are very much looking forward to developing the relationship in the long term and we see further mutually beneficial opportunities ahead of us.
“We are also pleased to sponsor Geva Mentor CBE, who is an inspirational athlete and role model whose story resonates strongly with people, especially girls and young women.”
Ben Turnbull, Leeds Rhinos Commercial Manager said: “We are happy to welcome Renew Holdings to the Rhinos family. It provides another great commercial boost for NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball and is even more pleasing to work with a company that has strong values and a people-based culture which aligns closely with our own.
“Renew is committed to inclusivity and diversity and wants to attract more women into engineering roles across their group. Through their sponsorship of our Elite and Pathway teams and Geva Mentor it provides an excellent platform to speak to a female audience and make a positive impact at both elite and grassroots level.
“It’s a huge boost for NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball that a company of Renew’s stature has chosen to support our club and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
