The wait is finally over, as Nike has unveiled their 2025 Chicago Marathon collection, and runners can’t get to the site fast enough. This year’s collection is a true testament to our City, with a new color scheme and innovative design. Nike will have a large booth at the Chicago Marathon expo where you can grab all of your gear for the weekend, or you can order online now. Nike does a great job of moving customers through expo lines quickly, but keep in mind that towards the end of the expo, sizes may run out, so you may want to preorder if you are a common size.
My favorite pieces of the collection are the Nike AeroSwift Women’s Dri-FIT ADV Running Tank top and Nike AeroSwiftMen’s Dri-FIT ADV Running Singlet.

This new colorful design lets you celebrate the Bank of America Chicago Marathon far beyond the finish line. The polyester/spandex combo is perfect for race day, as the Nike Dri-FIT ADV technology combines moisture-wicking fabric with advanced engineering and features to help you stay dry and comfortable. I am a huge fan of the side slits, especially as the miles tack on and the need for cooling becomes more important. I’ve run in the AeroSwift style countless times and love this top for its ability to move with me, while keeping me cool and dry. Plus, I have NEVER chafed in this top, which can’t be said of many running tops I’ve explored.
For race day, you can pair this iconic top with the Nike Ace Dri-FIT ADV Visor for an unstructured, low-depth design featuring advanced sweat-wicking fabric to help you stay fresh—even when the weather gets warm. Or, if we get a rainy Sunday morning, the visor will help to keep your eyes clear and able to track the blue line.

I am always in awe of the Nike Chicago collection, and its ability to find combine the essence of Chicago running with the magic of the marathon. One of the things I really appreciate is the wide variety of options that Nike creates. If you are a runner who prefers to run in sleeves, the Nike Swift Dri-FIT Short-Sleeve Running Top comes in both male and female fits and a Chicago blue that is one of a kind. The lightweight material is also sweat-wicking to keep you cool and dry.

We all know that Chicago weather can go from the 80 degrees days we’ve been experiencing at the end of September to 45 degrees and rain overnight. If we are hit with a cooler race day, Nike has you covered with the Nike Swift Women’s UV Repel Running Jacket and the Nike Impossibly Light Men’s Hooded Running Jacket. The water-repellent and UV-blocking fabric is paired with a print on the back that’s inspired by the windy city’s iconic transit system.

If you are looking to pull it all together for race, day the Nike Vomero 18 showcases our favorite Chicago blue with a sleek road racing design made to go fast.

The Vomero 18 offers greater cushioning with 6mm more midsole height compared to the Vomero 17, featuring a stack height of 36mm in the forefoot and 46mm in the heel. With a new foam collar, the Vomero 18 puts cushioning front and center for a feel that’s 18% softer than the Vomero 17. The increased rocker allows for a smoother heel-to-toe transition.
Not only does Nike have you covered for race day, but they have created a warm hug for you to jump, or limp, into following your 26.2. The Nike Sportswear Club Pullover Hoodie is designed with full comfort in mind. Sleek on the outside and warm and fuzzy on the inside, this hoodie will help you rest, recover, and celebrate your accomplishments at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Nike is holding a shakeout run on Saturday, October 11 from 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Heartbreak Hill Running Company, located at 2148 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60614, USA. You can register here and join the team for bagels and coffee after.
